Najib will decide to sue Ling after seven-day period
Najib Abdul Razak's lawyer Mohd Hafarizam Harun said they will wait for the seven-day period to expire before deciding whether to file a suit against Dr Ling Liong Sik for defamation.
"I think this is only right and proper for us to wait until after the seven days.
"This is because he or his lawyers have yet to respond to us officially. Maybe he will respond to us today or on Monday," the Umno lawyer added.
Furthermore, Hafarizam said he has yet to get further instructions from his client.
It was reported that Najib had issued a letter of demand to Ling on Monday, following his call for the PM to resign.
Najib wants the former MCA president to apologise.
