KUALA LUMPUR: Blogger Hussein Abdul Hamid, also known as “steadyaku47”, died from stroke complications at Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL) here at 5.50am this morning. He was 77.
Hussein’s death was confirmed by Hamidah Yusoff, a next of kin

STEADY-AKU - 47 : SELAMAT JALAN KE TANAH ABADI . AL - FATIHAH.
Hussein Abdul Hamid is a character, an agitator wearing a kind, yet wounded heart.
A blogger who boxed and punched about everything and anything political, from his desk in Melbourne.
Almarhum Hussein can be all over the place, spreading mouthfuls of wordy pellets, shotgunning in multiple directions. Some Kena, Most Tembak Kosong. A few Bullseyes, every so often.
I like to remember him as the archetype of a MCKK boy whose claim to fame was being a Floor Speaker during school debates. Thats Steady- aku. Never made the team, yet voluble and at times brilliantly so.
Weirdly enough, he has been difficult to read of late, almost in consonance when his batchmate at boarding school rose to be Prime Minister of Malaysia.
I like to put his gonzo-like ramblings from January 2023 to just Age. Time can be, and usually is, the Great Punisher.
