it should read:
Musa Hassan, who has retired from his position as police chief, has new revelations to make...
the connotation that each word/phrase gives bears a huge difference. if u use "quit" and even more combine that with "has revelations", then automatically the average person would think, wow this guy quit his job as the no.1 in malaysian police because of or partly because of the issue, and now he is going to tell all about it. the real situation is he already reached his compulsory retirement age and/or his contract subsequent to the retirement age was not extended, either by his own desire or wholly by the person(s) holding power.
but of course, the most important points in this letter are:
is there indeed going to be a pc by musang? and
if there is one, what the heck is he gonna tell??
