KUALA LUMPUR: More than 100 residents at a low-cost apartment complex in Taman United, Seputeh, were ordered to evacuate after a landslide struck the area following continuous rain since morning.

The City Fire and Rescue Department Operations Centre said it received a report at 11.02am of a landslide along a slope at Jalan Sepadu 6, before deploying a team from the Seputeh Fire and Rescue Station.

Seputeh Fire and Rescue Station chief Deputy Fire Superintendent II Armdan Mahat said the incident involved an estimated 60m stretch of collapsed slope that hit two cars and several motorcycles.
