via Peter Chew Klg: "【Update on 10.25pm: Timur Laut Deputy OCPD of Penang Police Contingent Supt Ahmad Bakhtiar Kassim(pic, second from left), passed away after having heart attack during a badminton game this evening. He was trying to stop the assailants from distrupting the public during anti Lynas rally in Esplanade, Penang on 26th Feb 2012. He didn't wear police uniform when performing his duty to protect the people. He died at the age of 54." Al-Fatihah.

Al Fatihah. He is my friend. He left my State for Selama, when he was promoted from DSP. Then he moved thereabouts in his duty. Haven't heard a lot from him these days though. How sad. A very peace loving guy behind his moustache back then, making him look stern, but generous with his smiles. May Allah accept him as his beloved servant, Amin.
