KUALA LUMPUR, April 27 — The MCA has blamed “organisations like Perkasa” for Barisan Nasional’s failure in recapturing Chinese support, especially in the recent Hulu Selangor by-election.
In a press statement today, party president Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek condemned Perkasa chief Ibrahim Ali’s statement urging the government not to fulfil its pledges of development to the Chinese community.
“I wish to condemn in the strongest terms the statement by the Perkasa chief for asking the government to delay the development allocations to the Chinese community.
“I wish to stress that government money belongs to the people. It should be used for the local community for local development,” Dr Chua said.
In Sunday’s polls, BN’s P. Kamalanathan secured a 1,725-vote majority win over PKR’s Datuk Zaid Ibrahim but failed to recapture votes from the Chinese community.
The BN only secured fewer than 30 per cent of the Chinese votes, down from the 35 per cent it had garnered during Election 2008.

THIS BASIC POLICY STATEMENT SHOULD APPLY TO EVERY LOCALITY & EVERY PERSON AS PEOPLE OF THE COUNTRY, REGARDLESS OF VILLAGE, TOWN, DISTRICT, STATE, RACE, RELIGION OR POLITICAL AFFILIATION.
JUST AS THE CHINESE COMMUNITY IN HULU SGOR, BEING PEOPLE OF THE SAME COUNTRY DESPITE NOT HAVING VOTED FOR THE GOVT, ARE ENTITLED TO GOVT MONEY FOR THEIR LOCAL DEVELOPMENT, SO DO THE ENTIRE PEOPLE OF KELANTAN, THE ENTIRE PEOPLE OF SABAH, THE ENTIRE PEOPLE OF SARAWAK, AND EVERYWHERE ELSE IN THIS COUNTRY!
if you are truly a fair & just leader, dr chua soi lek, you should also make public announcements that kelantan must be given their long overdue oil royalties, that certain kampungs and small towns whose populations have voted for opposition candidates must not be denied equal amount of govt monies for their own local developments - don't uphold selective or biased stand, mr chua soi lek! don't make noise just because the affected community in hulu sgor are chinese.
be like mr lim guan eng, who made big noises defending a malay nenek and her teenage granddaughter even though he pretty well knew he was to be locked up in prison for doing so!
you, mr chua soi lek, doesn't even have to spend 1minute in 1malaysia's jail for your own self-confessed sin.

alah... yang mangkok ni pon sama mcm berahim katak tu... dua-dua belakon jak... kat kafeteria dua-dua dok tegok teh tarik, makan roti canai dan gelak-gelak lagi... isu politik ni dijadikan gula-gula biar rakyat cemas... nanti najibul akan kasi redakan keadaan... amenok jadi hero lagi.. so... sokong ameno, pasti negara selamat...
satu soalan dalam kepala aku ni... selamatkah rkyat di negara ini... rata-rata rumah di negara ini dipasang grill... ada yang pasang alarm lagi... adakah ini menunjukkan selamat atau yang ada hanya kebimbangan yang sentiasa berlegar-legar dalam benak kita?
